This is my final project in Methodology of Visualization, a sketching class offered by Matt Zywica from Design School at Carnegie Mellon University.

As many of you may know, CMU Design is top-notch. I’ve wanted to seriously learn some design skills since my first day at CMU. During my last semester, I enrolled in the course along with many design and HCI students. I was inspired by my professor and my fellow classmates.

I spent 10–15 hours per week sketching, I started from not knowing how to draw a circle to becoming confident in drawing things I like. I still have a lot of opportunities to grow in sketching, and I know I will continue to practice from time to time.

I always like to play with visualization. When I owned executive communication and content creation in my VC job, I noticed people paid extra attention when the tailor-made charts showed up. Therefore, I find ways to improve my visualization skills whenever I have a chance.

Because of my sketching class Methodology of Visualization at CMU, I fall in love with color pencils. In addition to training my mind and hands by sketching, I want to train my eyes by playing with color.
